What is a curly haircut?

A curly haircut at Dome is a cut performed on dry curly hair.

We like to work with the curls in their natural form enabling us to tailor your cut to your curls to best see how they will sit and style on you.

This method allows you to see the shape forming as we cut it leaving you with an easy low maintenance style for you to do at home.

These haircuts have no blow-dry, no shampoo, just more time spent on your actual haircut.

If we do need to dry your hair after a cut, we will diffuse it for you.

How should I arrive for my curly haircut appointment?

We ask you arrive for your curly haircut with clean & washed & dried naturally just how you like to wear it.

Please don't tie it up or pin it back, we like to see it's natural texture & shape to give you the best results.

We encourage you to arrive with some visual references of what you like or are thinking about having so we can go through it together.

Will you comb my curls?

Maybe, maybe not. All heads of curls are different and will be treated differently.

If your hair needs to be combed for the cut, or we want to see how it sits after a brush out we will.

We will take care of your hair, we only use sulphate free products on all hair in the salon, we have amazing curl styling & treatment products

You will leave feeling a million bucks, your curls are in safe hands!

Do you colour curls?

Absolutely we do! We love to colour & curls love to be coloured.

We always encourage you to arrive with some picture references of what you like or where your hair dreams are heading & we will do our best to work towards that for you.

Do you have curls?

We have a collective of years worth of experience within the staff at Dome

John our main man has...well had (haha) a boof of curls, not to mention has been cutting them since he opened Dome in 1993!

Belinda (aka Ling Ling) has wonderful head of bouncy curls and will play with yours all day long if you let her.

Kimbo & her decades of experience will have your curls singing, she has an arts background & it certainly shows with her approach to hair.

Just to top it off, our hair love child apprentice Evie has a fabulous head of curls and is naturally obsessed with all things curl, how could she not be with this work fam?
